D-Day is the biggest sale day of e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Sendo,…). On D-Day, the e-commerce platforms will have big sales, so the shopping demand of followers is very high compared to the other days. Focusing on building content for D-Days to attract clicks from followers will help KOLs increase their revenue 3 times higher than normal days.

What is D-Day?

  • D-DAY: The days of the e-commerce platforms’ big sales (June 6th, July 7th, August 8th…, or the birthdays of the e-commerce platforms) 
  • D-DAY content: Content created for big campaigns, big sales days of the e-commerce platforms.  
  • D-Day needs a greater amount of posts, with better content being simultaneously posted on more social media platforms than normal days to maximize revenue. During D-Days, KOLs’ revenue can be 3 to 4 times higher than normal days. 
  • To make it easy to control, you can divide D-DAY content into 2 categories: 

– D-Day Key post: The main posts contain the total content for the whole sales program.

– D-Day Support post: Contents that provide supports to your posts. 

D-Day Key Post

  • Amount: 3-4 posts a day for big sales days.

  • Time: At least 2 days prior to the D-Day. 5-6 hours before the sales hour.
  • Notes:

– Make sure that your D-Day Key posts interest your followers, make them pay more attention than your posts on normal days. 

– Approach the products under the form of reviewing with different perspectives.

– Key posts should be highly general, capable of reviewing multiple products at the same time.

– Don’t forget to add hashtags as required!

– In case you use Facebook/Insta ads, Key posts are ideal for you to run ads.

D-Day Support Post

  • Amount: 1-2 post/campaign & 10-15 stories/day
  • Time: 2 days prior to the D-Day
  • Notes:

– Support Posts will always keep you visible to your followers during D-Days.

– With Support posts, especially in story format. You can upload as many as you want. The more stories you upload, the greater number of products reaches your followers, and the higher your revenue will be.

  • Update products with information as suggested.
  • You can use lifestyle images (self-taken of the products), screenshots, or beautiful pictures.
